Aboriginal Peoples

SENES staff have been involved in a multitude of projects across Canada where the interests, rights and values of Aboriginal peoples, have either been at the forefront or were the sole focus of the project.

At SENES we recognize the importance of involving Aboriginal peoples in projects throughout the assessment process. We encourage our clients to give full voice to the experiences, knowledge and values of Aboriginal peoples in making projects successful.

Our experience includes community based traditional monitoring and investigations, traditional knowledge and values studies, development of policy guidance for the incorporation of traditional knowledge, aboriginal consultation and engagement, economic and employment opportunities and acting on behalf of aboriginal communities as peer reviewers.
