Since modelling, monitoring and analysis
are essential elements of an air quality management plan; it is beneficial to
deal with them as an integrated whole. In today's terms, this means through the
use of a computer-based information and analysis system. This type of system
allows the user to input emissions information, automatically format it for use
in an air pollution dispersion model, run that model and insert the results
into a planning tool that can be used to develop strategies for improving air
quality in an area.
