Mining

Our extensive experience in environmental issues facing the mining industry around the globe assists our clients in meeting their goals. A wide variety of environmental services are provided to the mining industry throughout all stages of a mine's life cycle, from successful development of new sites, to improvements in environmental practices at existing operations, to effective closure and decommissioning.

One of our strengths is the ability to participate effectively in both small and large projects. Another is the breadth and expertise of our staff on the environmental issues relevant to the mining industry. Since formation in 1980, we have completed thousands of projects world-wide, and have been a leader in the development of technology and its practical application to mining issues. The firm is internationally recognized for its skills in: environmental assessment; due diligence, liability and audit reviews; prediction and management of Metal Leaching/Acid Rock Drainage (ML/ARD); geochemical modelling; risk assessment; and closure planning. Assignments have been completed for precious metal, base metal, uranium, diamond, coal, phosphate and heavy mineral mines, as well as smelters and related facilities.

SENES has earned a reputation of excellence and trust within the mining industry. Staff have been called upon to assess and address some of the world's most high profile environmental challenges and incidents associated with mining operations, for both mine operators and for external parties.
