A large number of projects have been performed that involved the conceptual design of treatment systems for the treatment of ARD. Our experience in this area includes conceptual designs of effluent treatment systems using lime neutralization (batch, conventional and HDS) for metals removal, ferric iron addition for arsenic removal and barium addition for radium removal.
