INDUSTRIAL ACCIDENT RISK - FIXED FACILITIES

Risk analyses of fixed facilities evaluate the likelihood and potential consequences of accidents at industrial facilities. Risks evaluated may include events such as fires, explosions, leaks, spills or other accidents.

A comprehensive review of processes and equipment is conducted to determine the types of accidents that may potentially occur and the frequency of failure associated with each equipment or process component.

In some cases, these assessments are conducted prior to construction in order to assist in the management and prevention of risks or to gain regulatory or stakeholder approval.

Assessment of risks at fixed facilities aids in identifying and reduce risks, planning for emergencies, addressing concerns of the public or others, and seeking regulatory approvals.
