Waste Management
SENES has assisted agencies, private
companies, and public groups on a broad range of sustainable waste management
issues. These include: waste management system planning, the assessment of
risks associated with specific practices such as incineration; evaluations of
impact from proposed facilities; auditing and development of waste reduction
work plans; public consultation; evaluation and selection of appropriate
technologies; and assisting in approvals. Expertise in waste characterization
methodologies has been applied at site-specific, national and international
levels for both hazardous and non-hazardous waste. SENES has also completed
several projects for the successful siting and approval of landfill facilities.
